Bechem United new coach Dan Owusu is optimistic he will begin life at Bechem on a flying note against Medeama on Sunday.

The debutants will battle the mega-spenders in front of their home fans for the first time after the Premier Board passed their home venue fit to host top-flight matches.

The ex-Black Stars prolific goal machine was appointed last week to replace Serbian Miloslav Bogdanovic and he is eager to bring an attacking brand of football to the team

"This is a very important game for the team and for me as well because this is my first match and I look forward to starting on a positive note," the 60-year-old told GHANAsoccernet.com

"Our position on the league table is a very worrying situation and we need to do something about.

"But of course Medeama will be tough because they have some many experienced players in the team.

"We respect them but will give them a good run for their money at home."

United are rooted at the bottom of the after picking up a single point from a possible 18 and conceded sixteen goals in the process.
