Alfred Duncan has disclosed that Fiorentina coach Beppe Iachini was influential in his final decision to join the club though he’s convinced by their sporting project.

Duncan, 26, joined the Viola on a six-month loan deal with the option to buy from Sassuolo in the winter transfer window.

According to the Ghana international, coach Beppe Iachini played a role in his decision to switch to the Artemio Franchi.

Duncan worked under the 55-year-old tactician at Sassuolo during the 2017/18 campaign.

“He was influential, but the club has been trying to get me for a long time and this was very important for me,” Duncan added. “Sassuolo met with Fiorentina and in the end, they came to the agreement that was best for everyone involved.

“This is a team that has everything for a player. They are strong and have come further than many of the other teams. The fans push you to go beyond your limits and do something that nobody would imagine.

“I hope to bring a lot of satisfaction.”
