Betway Cup 2019: Youngster Tahiru Awudu stars as Medeama thump Aduana Stars to set up AshantiGold final

Medeama sensational striker Tahiru Awudu bagged four goals as his side thrashed Aduana Stars 5-2  to make it to the finals of the Betway Cup at the Len Clay Stadium on Saturday.

The Ghana Under-20 star delighted the crowd with his sublime displays with Samuel Ofori completing the rout to set up a final showdown against Ashantigold.

Awudu opened the scoring under five minutes into the game.

He added another from the spot before Yahaya Mohammed with a shot from inside the box to pull one back for the Ogya Boys.

Awudu his third just one minute afterwards to increase Medeama SC's lead.

Few minutes from the half-time, Awudu made it 4-1 to the Tarkwa side.

Ofori got his name on the score sheet to make it 5-1 in the second half.

Pius Asante reduced the deficit with about fifteen minutes to the final whistle.

Medeama SC will take on hosts Ashanti Gold SC in the finals on Sunday at the same venue.

Aduana Stars will also tackle Liberty Professionals in the 3rd place play-off.
