Black Meteors forward Yaw Yeboah confident of victory over Gabon in AFCON U-23 qualifier

CD Numancia winger Yaw Yeboah is confident the Black Meteors will secure victory over Gabon in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers for U-23 Nations Cup. 

The U-23 team team will host their Gabonese counterparts in Accra on March 23rd at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ahead of the game on Saturday, the former Manchester City player assured fans of victory and qualification for Egypt 2019.

“We are ready, we are confident of winning. We just have to go on the field, play, win and celebrate with the fans, we are very sure of victory," he told reporters.

The winner of the two legged game qualifies for the main tournament to be held in Egypt, with the top three team progressing to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.

The Black Meteors defeated Shooting Stars 3-1 in their final preparatory game on Wednesday.
