Roberto Jiménez struggled under the high ball all afternoon, and tipped Ashley Westwood's corner into his own net
Burnley ended a run of three straight defeats with a comfortable win over struggling West Ham despite having a goal disallowed by VAR at Turf Moor.
The Clarets were ahead through Ashley Barnes' close-range effort when Chris Wood's header was chalked off, with the New Zealand striker shown to be just offside.
But Wood doubled Burnley's lead just before half-time with a first-time shot, and the hosts were out of sight when West Ham goalkeeper Roberto Jiménez tipped the ball into his own net from a corner early in the second half.
West Ham are without a win in six Premier League games and are two places above the relegation zone, while Burnley move up to ninth.
