Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko George Amoako says they ‘must’ beat in their next match in the CAF Confederation Cup match to boost their chances of progressing to the knockout round.

The Porcupine Warriors have two matches to play in the competition with a game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday 10 March against Al Hilal and an away game to ZESCO United in their final Group C match.

Charles Akonnor’s side exhibited an impressive performance on Sunday against Nkana FC on match day four to go second on the table. They beat the Zambia side by 3-0 with goals from Abdul Fatau Shafiu, Emmanuel Gyamfi and Martin Antwi.

But according to the club’s chief, recording a win against Al Hilal will boost their chances of making it out of the group.

“We must beat them to keep our hope in tel competition alive.”

The Reds lost to the Sudan side in the first leg in Omdurman. A win will cushion their chances of qualifying out of the group.

Kotoko are second on the table after this win.
