CAF Confederations Cup: Kotoko C.E.O George Amoako laments over missed chances despite win over Coton Sport

Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko George Amoako is unhappy with the goal scoring chances missed by the team in their 3-2 win over Coton Sports in the first leg of the Play-offs of the CAF Confederations Cup in Cameroon.

The Porcupine Warriors dominated and created several chances in Yaounde but manage to convert three through Emmanuel Gyemfi, Maxwell Baako and Abdul Safiu.

Despite the team's profligacy, Mr. Amoako believes coach C.K Akunor will sharpen his players goal scoring ability as the team edges close to qualifying for the group stages.

"When you look at the misses, on any good day we could have converted, you need to concentrate on the game," he told Peace FM.

"If you want to do well in the group stage, you don't miss such chances, but I'm very sure the coach as seen such chances and we will work on it to improve us".

"I' am not taking anything away from the team, they played well. Playing away and dominating the game and everybody clapping for you is wonderful he ended."

Management of club has charged Asante Kotoko's supporters to turn Kumasi red ahead of Coton Sport de Garoua's visit to the city this week.

The return leg comes on this Sunday, January 20 at the Bara Yara Stadium.
