Former Juventus and Roma coach Fabio Capello is set to receive an award in recognition of his services to football.
In an illustrious coaching career the 69-year-old has scooped five Serie A titles with AC Milan and Roma, as well a Champions League trophy in 1994 with the Rossoneri.
Away from the peninsula, the Italian also found success with Real Madrid where he won two La Liga titles.
In recognition of his success and dedication, the tactician will be awarded with the Special Achievement Award in May by the Italian Soccer Coaches Association.
Despite splitting opinion during his time as coach of England and later Russia, Capello has also been commended for the ambition he has shown in taking on a national role in a foreign country.
Capello took England to the World Cup in 2010 but resigned just months before Euro 2012 after defender John Terry was stripped of the captaincy against his wishes.
The Friuli-Venezia born boss will receive his award at the end of season meeting of the AIAC from May 24 to 26.
