Versatile Ghanaian defender Joseph Adjei has registered his delight over Al Malkiya 1-0 win over Al-Budaiya in the Bahraini Premier League.

The Malkiya-based side ended their absysmal run three successive games without a win when they they inflicted a 1-0 defeat on Al-Budaiya on Friday.

Speaking after the game, Adjei, who was adjudged the best player on the pitch, could not hide his joy and claimed the win will serve as a morale booster ahead of their next game against Al Shabab as well as Asian Champions League clash against Omani side Al Suwaiq.

“This match was a do and die affair because of the position we find ourselves,” Adjei said.

“It’s feels so good to get this maximum points, it can enliven us because our confidence was down coming into this game.”

“We’ll keep fighting to see where we can end at the season. We have the Asian Champions League coming up and it would have been a disaster if we had lost or even drawn this game. We would be frustrated so I think this points is good for us.”

The towering enforcer expressed gratitude to their fans for their unflinching support.

“I thank the fans so much for their support because even when we were in crises they kept backing us.”
