Chelsea skipper Terry eager to be fit for Tottenham

Published on: 26 November 2015

John Terry is determined to prove his fitness ahead of Chelsea's clash with Tottenham this weekend.

The Blues captain is struggling with an ankle injury sustained on a dodgy pitch in the 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in Haifa on Tuesday night.

Terry required a stretcher to leave the field on the night but is now stepping up his recovery so he can face London rivals Spurs at White Hart Lane.

The 34-year-old has been spending time in the hydrotherapy pool at the Cobham training centre in order to continue his running without the usual body weight.

Terry is still in doubt for the clash with Tottenham but is doing everything in his power to get up for the big occasions as the Blues aim for three-straight wins for the second time this season.
