Ghana forward Christian Atsu was on target as Newcastle United continued their pre-season with a 2-0 win over St. Patrick's Athletic 2-0 in a friendly on Tuesday in Ireland.
Youngster John Longstaff opened the scoring for Rafael Benitez's side just few minutes before recess.
Atsu added the second four minutes from full-time through a spot kick after Dwight Gale was brought down in the penalty box.
