Abubakar Yusif could lose the opportunity of becoming a national team coach after failing to show up for his interview session on Thursday.

The ex Hearts of Oak coach was denied permission to travel to Accra for the session by his club, Medeama where he is standing in as head coach for Bashir Hayford who is on leave.

Yusif has thus officially written to the panel seeking a new date for his session but the committee is yet to decide whether his plea will be granted.

Yusif applied to coach the national senior womens team, the Black Queens and the national male U-17 team, the Black Starlets.
