'Confused' Bechem United striker Amed Toure backtracks, wants Kotoko reunion

Published on: 10 August 2017

Bechem United striker Amed Toure has eaten humble pie after revealing he would jump  at the opportunity to return to Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko.

The 28-year-old has consistently insisted  he will never return to the Porcupine Warriors amid claims of poor treatment meted out to him during his stint with the club.

The Ivorian has never shy away from rubbing it in and taken a stinging pot-shot at the club's top hierarchy at the least opportunity.

But he has backtracked on the claims of never playing for the Ghanaian giants in future, claiming he is a change person.

“I am currently a Bechem United player but if any club be it Asante Kotoko or Hearts of Oak show interest in signing me and they talk to my club and agreement is reached I will definitely move. Why not? I am a professional football and if any club at all need my services I will consider it but at the moment I’m in Bechem” he told Kumasi-based Metro FM

“Its true that when I was told that I was not part of the plans of the new coach (David Duncan) I said I won’t return to the club again but the circumstances at the time forced me to say that but now things have changed and my doors are open to every club including Asante Kotoko or Hearts of Oak.” the former Lokeren striker added.

The Burkinabe international is joint-top scorer in the Ghana Premier League with 12 goals.
