Constant looking to snatch Muntari's position at Milan

Midfielder Kevin Constant aims to displace Sulley Muntari in order to win a regular spot in the AC Milan team.

The 25-year-old was brought in on a season long loan deal as cover for the Ghana international who sustained a serious knee injury while on holidays in his native country.

But the Guinean officially on the books of Genoa though fully aware he was brought in as a back up says he wants to prove himself to earn a permanent stay with the Italian giants.

"I know that I am here because of Muntari's injury but I still want to play and win,” he said.

“I will give 100 per cent for the team. Now I have to prove that I am as good as my teammates. I will try my best.

"I am ready. I have to play with lots of personality, give 100% and even more. It is important for me to show that I want to stay here.

"My dream came true when I came here, the competition is so high but I am ready to play and fight for my place.

“You have to be perfect here at Milan and I will have to work harder than ever."

Muntari is expected to be out for 5-6 months haven successfully undergone surgery to fix the problem.
