Danger looms as Normalisation Committee set to disqualify popular Ghana FA presidential hopefuls, decision to be 'final and binding'

There are frenetic times ahead as high-profile Ghana FA presidential hopefuls have been penciled for disqualification from contesting the top seat with the decision of the Normalisation Committee expected to be 'final and binding', GHANAsoccernet.com sleuth hounding indicates.

Ghana's leading football website, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal that former Ghana FA Executive Committee members Wilfred Osei Kwaku, George Afriyie, Kurt Okraku are earmarked for disqualification in a massive grand scheme set to shake the foundation of Ghanaian football.

Former top FA officials Kudjoe Fianoo and Fred Pappoe, who are nursing ambitions to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi may also have their dream smoked in an explosive decision set to ruffle feathers in the West African nation.

Pappoe, a former Ghana FA vice-president, has declared his intention to contest while Ghana League Clubs Association boss Kudjoe Fianoo is in the running to fight it out.

The decision, according to GHANAsoccernet.com sources is largely borne out of 'politics' and the quest to smoke out the former Executive members of the FA.

The Normalisation Committee holds the aces in determining who is eligible to contest for the top portfolio as their final decision will only BE RECTIFIED by the world governing body, FIFA.

Many of the presidential hopefuls have embarked on 'submarine' campaigns to contest for the top job which has become vacant following the global ban of former FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi on corruption charges.

Wilfred Osei Kwaku has been on the campaign trail while Kurt Okraku and George Afriyie have been holding strategic meetings in a bid to contest for the role.

But it appears their bubble may bust with an impending combustible decision set to put Ghana football on the edge.

A big battle between supporters and sympathizers  of the various aspirants and the Normalisation Committee awaits as the decision will split heads and perhaps put local football on a further ice and widen divisions.

A credibility test expected to be conducted by the interim body will cause ripples and determine the fate of several aspirants seeking the high office of Ghanaian football.

Major issues bordering on competence, pedigree, integrity, credibility, qualification, trust and loyalty amongst others will prove the yardstick in deciding who takes over the wheel of Ghana football.

The ‘time for alliances is coming" with development suggesting that electoral horse-trading might be about to begin in the battle to replace Nyantakyi as head of Ghana football's governing body.

The presidential election in 2019 presents a perfect opportunity for major change to happen, with calls for a fresh face with innovative ideas to instill the high levels of ethics and morality that should be commonplace when being in supreme control of a local federation.
