Ghana defender David Addy made a return to first team action in FC Porto's 3-0 win over Santa Clara in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old who has been out with a thigh strain for two weeks came on as a second half substitute and got 30 minutes playtime under his belt.
Addy was in serious contention to land a regular starting role in Vitor Pereira's team before sustaining the injury while on pre-season tour of Switzerland.
The left-back was however boosted by the news his injury was mild and would be out for just two weeks.
His return to full fitness is a massive boost to both club and country as his efficiency will be relied upon in subsequent assignment.
Addy was impressive on a season-long loan deal with Greek side Panetolikos where he made 25 first team appearances and scored three goals last term.
