Digne: I think I’ve made a lot of progress at Roma

Roma full-back Lucas Digne has described his enthusiasm at playing for the Giallorossi during the 2015-16 season after joining on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 22-year-old believes that his opportunities at the Stadio Olimpico have taught him a lot and allowed him to put in the best performances of his fledgling career.

“The win over Genoa came from the heart,” said Digne as reported by VoceGiallorossa.it.

“It wasn’t by chance that we were able to pull off this great comeback and we’re not where we are in the table by chance.

“We have had a run of great results and we haven’t lost in 15 Serie A fixtures, these are the kind of results which give you a lot of faith in what you are doing.”

The France international went on to discuss his own personal development since moving to Italy.

“I believe I’ve made a lot of progress, above all in my defensive play,” added Digne.

“The statistics also confirm that this has been my best season. It’s great to be part of one of the best teams in Serie A and things are getting better every day.

“I’m just thinking about working hard everyday and finishing the season well with Roma.”
