Division One League side Hasaacas have moved to foil plans by some of their fans to avoid officials of Skyy FC from watching Wednesday's Special Competition match at the Gyandu Park.

The Sekondi-based side have beefed up security to ensure nothing untoward happens.

A club statement: ''Sekondi Hasaacas FC have had consultation with authorities at the Sekondi Police department and we would like to remind supporters of their responsibilities on the day.

''Against a small club as Skyy FC, this game has historically brought a deeply unpleasant and unwanted level of quibbling, which has no place in football or anywhere in society. As such, Hasmal urge everyone to keep their support positive.

''Opposition supporters are also cautioned to stay positive and support their team. The club asks that all supporters realise such actions cause huge offence to those around them.

''We all share the common cause of supporting our team and we should do it without any prejudice or intimidation.''
