Dr. Kwame Kyei to ring massive changes in Asante Kotoko - George Amoako discloses

Former head of finance and administration of Asante Kotoko, George Amoako has disclosed that the Chief Executive Officer of the club, Dr. Kwame is set to ring changes in the side's management before the resumption of the league.

The Porcupine Warriors struggled to impress in the first round of the 2017/18 Zylofon Cash Premier League before football in the country was halted following an undercover documentary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas that revealed massive corruption in Ghana football.

But Dr. Kyei who was appointed by life patron of the club Otumfou Osei Tutu II to lead the Porcupine Warriors after a difficult 2016 season under the Opoku Nti administration is resolute in making the club fearsome again.

According to George Amoako, the business magnate is ready to changes in the management level to attain his target of returning the club to the echelons of African football.

"Yes Dr Kwame Kyei is making efforts to ring some changes in his management and he has been speaking to a number of people which am included," he told Oyerepa FM.

"We are still in talks and nothing concrete has been reached. Positions will not be important for now whether am coming as CEO or not. The most important thing is the club, and as faithful of the porcupine we need to contribute our quota to help raise the flag of the club.

"There's no way my younger brother Tom Kruger can confront me or I do otherwise. Asante Kotoko is a big club and at meetings as such you will need the big men behind the clubs to be there but Dr Kwame Kyei was stuck somewhere so asked me to represent him and if Tom is around, that's no problem."

When asked if he holds any interest in becoming the next Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, he said,"After my Kotoko has gotten to where we expect it to, I will then think of becoming the GFA president or not."
