Ebusua Dwarfs have sacked their coach John Eshun a few days to the start of the Premier League season.

The decision not to renew the one-year contract of the ex Black Stars captain was bourne out of the club’s claims he has been left redundant for some time now and therefore was seen as surplus to requirements.

“The club has decided against renewing the contracts of not only John Eshun but also with some other members of staff,” the club’s Spokesman Paul Adjetey said.

“We have about five coaches and at the end of the day we had to take a decision as to who to let go of which Eshun was chosen.

“He is a seasoned coach and couldn’t be relegated to the back burner due to the presence of Prof. Mintah so therefore the club decided not to renew the contract.”

Eshun thus leaves the club he only joined at the beginning of last season.
