New Edubiase deputy Chief Executive Alex Ackumey insists the departure of two of their most influential players will not  affect their campaign next season.

Striker Emmanuel Baffour and colleague Mumuni Abubakar joined South African side Mamelodi Sundowns this week  after impressing heavily on the domestic scene last term.

Baffour emerged as the hottest goal poacher in the Premier League by netting 21 goals to win the Goal King award while Abubakar was also identified as one of the key players for the Bekwai-based side.

There have been suggestion that the exit  of the two players could affect their fortunes next season.

But the club’s chief has allayed fears insisting they will find quality replacements.

“I know some of our fans are not too happy with the departure of the two players, but I wish to assure them that there is no cause for alarm,” Ackumey said

“We have put in place measures to ensure we get an equally good replacement for them.

“No one really knew Abubakar but we gave him the confidence and he managed to rise through the system. Baffour himself was not a household name until he came to Edubiase.

“It's the same thing people said before last season started when we lost Bismarck Asiedu but we all saw what happened.

Edubiase is like a train; some passengers move in and some move out but the momentum never stops.

“We’ll identify new talents and make them huge players next season.
