New Edubiase Chief Executive Abdul Salam Mumuni has hinted he may opt out of football due to poor refereeing decisions in the Ghana Premier League.

Salam accused referee Chares Dowuona of bias officiating and claims his insatiable desire for the game is dying slowly and may soon quit the sport if bad performances from match officials persist.

Edubiase lost for the first time this season after Nigerien import Musah Mohammed scored the fastest goal of the season on 47 seconds in a 1-0 defeat.

"I am speechless and don't know what to say again. I think some of us will stop putting our money and resources in football because it’s not worth it," Mumuni said.

"You look at the performance of referee Dowuona and it tells you clearly he came into this game with a mindset.

"Some teams believe they must win at all cost and that is what we witnessed."

The defeat slipped Edubiase to the sixth position with twelve points from seven games.
