Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak are reported to be close to signing Benjamin Tweneboah from Elmina Sharks.

According to a publication on Kickgh.com, the Accra-based giants are on the verge of sealing a deal for pacey wideman who has attracted interest from several clubs in the top-flight.

The Rainbow club are leading the race to sign the highly-rated winger following an outstanding performance for Elmina Sharks in the Premier League for the past seasons.

The Ghanaian giants have already completed the signing of three players namely Mohammed Alhassan, Dominic Eshun and Black Meteors goalkeeper Richmond Ayi ahead of the resumption of the Ghana Premier League.

The 24-year-old featured in 14 games and bagged two goals for Elmina Sharks in the first round of the 2018 Ghana Premier League.

Meanwhile, football in the country has been halted following the premiering of the investigative documentary by ace journalist Anas Aaremeyaw Anas on corruption in Ghana football.
