Christian Eriksen yesterday told Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho about his desire to leave the club to join Inter according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Inter's pursuit of Eriksen began back in November of last year and a deal for him to join the club this month looks to be in the final stages.

His agent Martin Schoots has been in Milan all day trying to iron out the final details of the contract he will sign with the club as the move edges ever closer to completion.

Eriksen has agreed to a four and a half year deal with Inter that will come with an annual net salary of €9 million plus bonuses.

Inter have made an offer worth a total of €18 million for the 27-year-old Danish international, an offer that is just €2 million short of what Tottenham Hotspur are demanding for him.

This season Eriksen has made 25 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored three goals and tallied just as many assists.
