Goalkeeper Ernest Sowah has expressed his determination to help Hearts of Oak win titles after joining the club on Wednesday.

Sowah, 30, joined the Phobians on a two-and-a-half-year-deal  as a free agent after he mutually terminated his contract with Asante Kotoko last week.

The Accra-based giants have endured a disappointing campaign thus far,  conceding 13 goals in 11 games despite using all their then first team goalkeepers.

However, many of their supporters believe the acquisition of the Sowah will help solve their goalkeeping problem - a challenge which the player has accepted wholeheartedly.

“Yes I have signed for hearts of Oak for two and half years, it’s a personal decision I took and if it wasn’t good I wouldn’t have signed but I believe it will help me as well as my family,” Sowah said on Happy FM.

“My main objective is to help Hearts of Oak win African competition as well as the league, which has eluded them for the past eleven (11) years, not forgetting the FA Cup too.”

“What I will tell Hearts fans is that I thank them for the confidence they have in me and also given me this great opportunity to don the Phobian jersey.”
