Ex Botswana star hopes for draw against Ghana

Former Botswana left-back Naphtally Kebalepile is bracing himself for a tough match against Ghana especially with influential Joel Mogorosi missing out through injury.

The 27-year-old winger broke his arm last Wednesday to swell up the Zebras list of absenteeism for their opening Group D game on Tuesday.

Mogorosi’s absence coupled with the suspension of Diphetogo Selolwane means Stanley Tshosane’s side stands quiet depleted.

And this Kebalepile says will go a long way to hurt the team going into the game against one of the tournament’s favourites, Ghana.

“Our strength is catching opponents on counter-attack and his (Mogorosi) absence is going to have a negative impact,” he said.

“I would have opted for Chicken (Sekhana Koko) in his place but we must rally behind the coach (Stanley Tshosane) because I assume he knows what he’s doing.

“I foresee the Zebras coming away with a draw in this one.”

Botswana next play Guinea and then Mali to round off their group campaign.
