Ex-Ghana FA chief Lepowura MND Jawula feels there ‘no doubt’ that Maxwell Konadu is the ideal candidate for the Black Stars assistant job position.

The Asante Kotoko tactician is being widely tipped as the man to deputize for Kwesi Appiah after making the Kumasi based side an attractive side in his first term in charge.

Kotoko’s impressive performance in the country’s top-flight league has been largely attributed to the experience, personality and the knowledge of the game of the former All Stars boss.

The duo worked wonders to hand the West African powerhouse their first ever gold in football at the 2011 All Africa Games held in Maputo and the former Ghana FA boss believes he is the ‘best man’ for the job.

“There is no doubt Maxwell Konadu is the best man for the position. There is some sense of believe in the young man,” Lepowura Jawula said

“He has a wonderful working relationship with Kwesi Appiah and so we shouldn’t waste time at all in appointing him so that both can start with plans to execute our campaign for us.

“He has the personality and the knowledge and so I believe he’s the right man for the job because he has several other attributes,”

Coach Kwesi Appiah is expected to announce members of his backroom staff in the coming days with many of the old faces expected to be hit in an impending shake-up.
