Ex Ghana youth star Awudu Issaka believes he will be a massive hit as the future head coach of the Black Stars.

The 34-year-old is currently coaching the future generation of Ghanaian stars in his academy in Accra.

Issaka failed to live up to his huge potential as a player who took the world by storm at the 1995 FIFA World U17 Championships where he was the star man for the Black Starlets in their gold winning feat in Ecuador.

Headline moves to Belgian giants Anderlecht and 1860 Munich in Germany did little to help the then-skilful schemer reach his highest potential – eventually leading to his premature retirement.

But the ex Prampram Mighty Royals’ playmaker feels he can atone for his failure as a player at full international level by excelling as the future coach of the Black Stars.

"I will coach the Ghana national team in future and set a record that will shock everyone," he told Asempa FM. "This is why I have started with the academy and for sure in future I will coach the national team."
