Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has emerged as a shock transfer target of Serie A giants AS Roma, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
AS Roma Sporting Director Monchi has identified the combative middle man as one of the possible signings this transfer window.
Badu’s performance on loan at Turkish side Bursaspor last season- one goal, one assist in 19 appearances- convinced Monchi.
However, the 28-year-old, is yet to play his first competitive match this term after undergoing surgery to correct a knee injury.
He ruptured the medial collateral ligament and went under the knife last summer.
Badu, whose contract expires in 2020, has begun training with Udinese and expected to feature after the winter break.
