Danish top-flight side Nordsjaelland will become the first European team to hold their pre-season training in Ghana when they arrive in the West African country tonight, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Super League team will arrive in Ghana on Friday night for a seven-day training visit, the first to be undertaken in the country by a team in the top leagues of Europe.

All players in the first team are on the delegation for the visit of Ghana that will have them prepare under warm weather conditions for the re-start of the league season in spring.

All the eight Ghanaian players in the squad including star player Mohammed Kudus are part of the delegation as they start their training following the Christmas break.

Other Ghanaian players in the squad are Clinton Antwi, Abdul Mumin, Maxwell Woledzi, Abu Francis, Godsway Donyoh, Ibrahim Sadiq and Isaac Atanga are all part of the team.

Ghanaian assistant coach of Nordsjaelland Masud Didi Dramani is also part of the delegation that will travel to the Spanish city of Alicante after the Ghana tour.

Nordsjaelland will be based at the club's feeder academy called Right to Dream which is based in the Eastern Region town of Akosombo.

The country's flagship football academy's facilities will ensure that they have the necessary training on good pitches during their stay in Ghana.

"It's a great opportunity we have this time with two whole trips, each of which gives us something different to build on," says Nordsjaelland head coach Flemming Pedersen.

"The trip to Ghana is too early in the training camp start to play matches. In this phase it is about building on the physique of the players, and there is no doubt will be better in small 30 degrees on good courses and in inspiring surroundings."

Nordsjaelland will not play any friendly match during their seven day visit of Ghana as they are avoiding the severe winter months in Denmark.
