Ghanaian midfielder Kingsley Schindler has signed for German Bundesliga II side FC Koln but will join the club in the summer.

The winger is joining from Holstien Kiel on a free transfer after agreeing a deal with Koln until 2023.

“I’m really pleased that he has decided early on to join FC Köln – that’s a reinforcement for the future,” said Sporting Director of Koln Armin Veh.

Meanwhile, the winger has also expressed excitement on making the move to Koln.

“Of course the excitement is huge. FC Köln is a very big club with lots of tradition and a quite special appeal. I’m really looking forward to being a part of the club from this summer! Now, however, I want to fully and totally concentrate on Kiel. I’m very thankful to this club for everything and we still have goals we want to achieve this season,” said Kingsley Schindler.

For the Storks, the 25-year-old has made 93 appearances since 2016. In that time, he’s racked up an impressive 33 goals and 21 assists.

“Kingsley possesses great pace and very good athletic ability, along with being very good technically and his strength in one on ones,” said Armin Veh of the quality which the Hamburg-born attacker holds.
