FC Dallas striker Francis Atuahene will miss the start of the MLS season after undergoing a successful surgery.

The former Right To Dream Academy player has been ruled out for four-to-six months.

According to FC Dallas, the surgery is to repair a ruptured pectoral muscle suffered last week in Frisco.

It was performed by Dr. Kevin Kruse at Texas Institute for Surgery in Dallas.

Atuahene was expected to play a key role for FC Dallas this season after injury blighted his campaign last term.
