Fiorentina v Sampdoria: Official Line-Ups

Published on: 20 January 2019

Sampdoria visit the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday afternoon to take on a Fiorentina side who had started to show signs of life before the winter break.

The signs are ominous for Fiorentina, who are winless in their last six Serie A games against Samp (D4 L2), with their last win against the Blucerchiati coming back in November 2015.

Recent history shows that this is a fixture that tends to produce goals, with both sides scoring in each of the last six Serie A games between the pair.

Sampdoria have scored in each of their last 10 Serie A matches (20 goals). The last time they netted in more consecutive games in the same season was back in 2015-16 (11).

Fabio Quagliarella meanwhile will be looking to extend his personal hot streak, having scored in each of his last nine Serie A appearances in a run dating back to October 28.

Fiorentina: Lafont; Milenkovic, Pezzella, Hugo, Biraghi; Benassi, Veretout, Fernandes; Chiesa, Simeone, Muriel.

Sampdoria: Audero; Sala, Tonelli, Andersen, Murru; Praet, Ekdal, Jankto; Ramirez; Quagliarella, Caprari.
