Daniel Sturridge's injury problems have again reared their ugly head after the striker was sent for more scans.
Sturridge was ruled out of Thursday night's Europa League clash with Bordeaux despite training with Jurgen Klopp's squad on the morning of the match.
The 26-year-old, who has been out since early October, complained about pain in his foot on Thursday afternoon and will now undergo scans in a bid to assess the situation further.
Liverpool have not yet commented on Sturridge's latest setback hence no time frame has been placed on the length of his next absence.
