GFA reaches peace accord with officials of Medeama and Arsenals

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has brokered a peace deal between Medeama SC and Berekum Arsenal ahead of their clash on Sunday.

This follows a meeting between the GFA, Premier League Board (PLB) and the representatives of the two clubs in Accra on Friday.

Tension between fans of the two clubs is high following the incidents that occurred before, during and after their first-round clash in Berekum.

This prompted the GFA and the PLB to intervene by calling the two sides to the meeting in Accra.

The GFA wants to assure football fans, players, officials and the general public that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure their safety before, during and after Sunday's match.

Both teams also expressed their commitment in working with the GFA to ensure the safety of the spectators - before, during and after the match.
