Ghana's technical team has expressed satisfaction at Sunday's 1-1 draw with South Africa in their first pre-Nations Cup friendly.

The Black Stars came from a goal down to share the spoils courtesy a Sulley Muntari strike.

Ghana fell behind on six minutes when a speculative shot from Thami Sangweni from 25 yards beat goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey.

The friendly afforded the team the opportunity to test their battle readiness for the Africa Cup of Nations.

"We had a good training match," assistant coach Kwesi Appiah said in a post match interview.

"For us, it gave us what we needed, tactically, attacking (wise) and defensively."

The Black Stars will finalize their preparations for the tournament with another friendly against Platinum Stars on Wednesday.
