Ghana FA fines four Premier League clubs for misconduct

The Ghana Football Association has fined four Premier League clubs Wa All Stars, King Faisal, Berekum Chelsea and Ebusua Dwarfs for misconduct. 

 Officials of the above-mentioned clubs failed to put up the suitable decorum during match days 3,5, 6 and 7.

Club charged: Wa All Stars for match-day-3 and 5 incidents

Case: The referee of the above-mentioned match has reported to the GFA that during the play in the 2nd half, Assistant Coach of Wa All Stars, Najahu Issah entered the field of play to order the Referee to instruct that an injured player of AshantiGold should be carried off the field of play. The Referee consequently expelled him for irresponsible behavior.

Decision: In view of this, Najahu Issah is liable to a four (4) match (3,4,5,6) suspension and a fine of One Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh¢1,000.00) in accordance with Article 50 of the GFA Disciplinary Code.

Case: The referee of the above-mentioned match has reported to the GFA that the Head Coach of Wa All Stars, Nuru Ahmed was expelled for misbehaving several times. At the end of the match Nuru Ahmed rushed on the match officials but the police were there in time to stop him.

Again, after the 2nd goal against Wa All Stars, Yunus Alhassan of Wa All Stars rushed to the field of play to insult the Referee. He also went to the Assistant 2 with the same insulting words, and according to the Referee the Police had to come to hisrescue.

Decision: In accordance with Article 50(2) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, Nuru Ahmed is liable to a three (3) match (5,6,7) suspension and a fine of One Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh¢ 1,000.00)

Yunus Alhassan is also liable to a fine of Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (Gh¢ 500.00) in accordance with Article 35(3)(a) of the GFA Regulations.

Clubs charged: King Faisal for match-day-6 incident

Case: The referee of the above-mentioned match has reported to the GFA that Alhaji Karim Grunsa of King Faisal confronted the match officials during the break on their way to the dressing room and verbally assaulted them and further said that the referee had called him before the match to demand some money from him.

Decision: In accordance with Article 35(3) (c), Alhaji Karim Grunsa is liable to a fine of Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (Gh¢ 500.00).

Club charged: Berekum Chelsea for match-day-6 incident

Case: The referee of the above-mentioned match has reported to the GFA that an official of Berekum Chelsea, Nii Akrofi Smart Abbey, rained insults and curses on him after the match.

Decision: In accordance with Article 35(3)(c) of the GFA Regulations, Nii Akrofi Smart Abbey shall be liable to a fine of Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (Gh¢ 500.00).

Club charged: Ebusua Dwarfs for match-day-7 incident

Case: The referee of the above-mentioned match has reported to the GFA that during the match, the Team Manager of Ebusua Dwarfs, Alex Arthur misconducted himself and was consequently expelled by the Referee.

Decision: In accordance with Article 50(2) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, Alex Arthur is liable to a four(4) match (Match Day 7,8,9,10) suspension and a fine of One Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh¢1,000.00).
