The Ghana FA will consider a suggestion made by renowned journalist Moahammed Amin-Lamptey to strengthen the association’s technical directorate.

The Executive Committee will this week kick start the head hunting process to appoint a new Black Stars coach following the dismissal of Serbian trainer Goran Stevanovic.

But the Metro TV ace journalist during the innovative monthly press briefing in Cape Coast strongly suggested the technical directorate headed by Francis Oti-Akenteng be well resourced and equipped to be the department to undertake the appointment of coaches in future.

“I will urge the GFA to resource the technical directorate to the level they will be competent enough to play a major role in the appointment of coaches,” Lamptey said.

“Now that we are in the hunt of looking for a new coach I believe the technical directorate should be able to make recommendations based on strong analysis of who they believe should be the coach.”

The Ghana FA’s President Kwasi Nyantakyi in his response instinctively agrees with the suggestion made and says it is a point worth further exploring by the association.

“I agree with all that you (Lamptey) have said and I think it is something we will be seriously looking at.”

Just look at this readers: “I will urge the GFA to resource the technical directorate to the level they will be competent enough to play a major role in the appointment of coaches,” Lamptey said. What resource is he talking about? The technical directorate has always had the necessary resource to be able to help select coaches but due to their laid back attitude or hubris, they have not done a good job. So pls ace journalist we would like u to tell us exactly what resource/s that u think the technical directorate needs to do their job which they don't already have rather than saying they need resource.

I perfectly agree with Ike. What has amin lamptey done or achieved to be called ACE? Does the writer understand the word? Or is it his Locally Acquired Foreign Accent-LAFA?

NONSENSE,SOME OF US MAKE BETTER SUGGESTIONS ON GSN AND CAN RUN THE GFA BETTER THAN THOSE MORONS AND PEN PUSHERS AT THE GFA.

Thanks Ike. Ace Journalist indeed... hehehehehe

All I'm saying is he should list or name the resources he is advocating so that the GFA would execute them. As it is right now his idea about resource/s is just vague.
