The Vice Chairman for the Premier League Management Committee (PLMC), Jesse Agyepong says the Ghana Premier League (GPL) will soon have a lot of sponsors on board as the product is becoming attractive and getting the attention of Corporate Ghana.

According to him, a lot of corporate organizations have gotten in touch with the Ghana Football Association wanting to partner or sponsor the Ghana Premier League.

“For the past two weeks, Corporate Ghana is calling the Ghana Football Association wanting to engage and partner on one level and another”, he told Accra-based radio station Happy FM.

He also lauded the efforts of some Premier League clubs marketing their brands and games very well through social media which is helping to promote the image of the Ghana Premier League.

“If you check the conversation ongoing on social media, most of the clubs such as Hearts of Oak, Legon Cities and Liberty Professionals are generating a lot of interest in the game through their social media platforms which is also promoting interest in the league”, he indicated.

Electroland Ghana through it wing Nasco are the only partners of the Ghana Football Association in terms of sponsorship. Nasco are the Official Man of the Match Sponsors of the Ghana Premier League and Women’s League.

The 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League is still without a headline sponsor after match day six.
