Bechem United will be at home on Sunday to tackle nemesis Asante Kotoko SC in a stern duel as they intend to avoid relegation at the end of the season.

The Hunters are sitting at the 10th position on the league with 35 points but are only two points away from the danger zone.

They were 2-0 losers to Berekum Chelsea in a regional derby on Wednesday. Another defeat this weekend will see them drop into the relegation zone.

Versatile defender Moro Salifu was sent off in midweek's fixture. He is suspended for Sunday's crucial clash with the Porcupine Warriors.

Central defender Alfred Nelson is still on the sidelines with an injury.

Asante Kotoko SC needed a controversial penalty in the dying embers to salvage a point from the Ashanti derby last Wednesday in Kumasi.

They were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Ashanti Gold SC.

The Porcupine Warriors are traveling to a venue where they have managed more victories than the home side.

They have claimed two wins at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour park as against Bechem United who have recorded only one win as the home team.

Their top four ambitions could be scuppered if they fail to avoid defeat on Sunday.

With 40 points, they are 4th on the log and are followed by Berekum Chelsea, Wa All Stars and Elmina Sharks FC all with 39 points.

Midfield duo Jackson Owusu and Seth Opare have been ruled out of the fixture on Sunday due to injuries they sustained in the FA Cup semi-finals last Monday.
