Chievo Verona's new Ghanaian starlet Caleb Ekuban is wants to take his time to flourish at Italian side Chievo Verona.

The 18-year-old came close to making his Serie A bow during the weekend when he was named on the Gialloblu bench in their surprising 1-0 win at Lazio.

Caleb, who has been likened to Ghanaian-born Italian striker Mario Balotelli has been a revelation in Italy's Primavera division with his impressive scoring run.

He feels it was exciting gaining selection into the first team squad but hopes to help himself to some playing time.

"I have not yet maked it..but it will really be wonderful to stay on the pitch playing with great players," he told Ghanasoccernet.com.
