Ghana U20 coach aware of media attacks if Satellites fail

Black Satellites coach Orlando Wellington is aware that he will be thoroughly annihilated by the local media if Ghana’s U20 fails to excel at the Africa Youth Championship.

Both the male and female Olympics team have been knocked out of the qualifiers, the CHAN team bombed out of the first round without even drawing a game all under local coaches.

The country’s U17 team was also eliminated by Senegal in their qualifiers which have left local coaches under pressure for poor performance.

Wellington has got the last chance to salvage the image of local coaches but he told Kickoffghana that failure will lead to some thrashing in the media. "I know back home our names will be all over the radio but pressure is something I have had to live with every day so nothing much changes,” Wellington said.

“We have to produce a response on Thursday and then we are back in it."

Ghana must beat Gambia in their next game on Thursday to brighten their chance of reaching the last eight.
