Ghana winger Frank Acheampong has expressed his delight after helping Tianjin Teda escape relegation from the Chinese Super League.

Acheampong, who initially joined the Tianjin-based outfit in the second half of the Chinese Super League on loan from Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht in 2017, notched 4 goals in 12 outings.

The 25-year-old bettered his statistics in his full campaign by bagging 17 strikes in 26 games to help the Blue and White lads to escape the drop on the final day of the season.

“We were going down but thank God we survived and I must say that it was an amazing season,” Acheampong said upon arrival at the Kotoka International Airport on Tuesday.

“It was a very memorable season for us and me as well. I just have to thank the fans for their support,” he added.
