Ghana youngster Salifu credits Fiorentina for career rise

Ghana midfielder Amidu Salifu says his career was given a boost during his one-and-a-half year stay at Fiorentina. 

The 19-year-old moved to Florence in January last year from Serie B side Vicenza.

He made 13 first team appearances for La Viola before his loan move to Catania this summer.

"In Florence, I learned a lot with the team and especially Steven Jovetic and Adem Ljaji?. From them I learned the style of in the Serie A," Salifu told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Salifu played for Ghana's Under-20 in one of the qualifiers to the 2011 African Youth Championship
