Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey's rise in Spain continues as he earned promotion to the first team of La Liga side Villareal ahead of their trip to Leganes.

The on-loan Cordoba midfielder impressed at the junior level after three games hence his call up for the senior side.

The 20 year old former Dreams FC player would be looking forward to making his La Liga debut as soon as possible.

Lomotey will wear the number 40 jersey and could also be making the team for the Europa League Cup game against Rangers in midweek.

He joined Cordoba in the summer after an excellent campaign with Extramadura in the lower divisions of Spanish football.

The defensive midfielder was member of the Black Stars B squad to clinch the 2017 WAFU Nations Cup on home soil.

He made 24 appearances, scored 10 times and provided 10 assists as the Still Believe lads emerged champions to make a swift return to the Ghanaian top flight.
