Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Cofie has paid glowing tribute to Italian side Genoa for making him a 'man' after picking him as a little 'boy'.
The 27-year-old spent seven years at the club, joining the youth ranks in 2008.
The midfielder, who is now playing for Spanish side Sporting Gijon, has paid an emotional tribute to the Italian side for transforming his career.
"I came to Genoa from nothing. Every day in Genoa was fantastic: they welcomed me like a child and made me a man. I had a great time in all the years I lived there, I was surrounded by so much affection by the company, the comrades and the fans. " he said
Before joining Sporting Gijon, the Ghanaian had featured for Piacenza, Sassuolo, Chievo and Carpi.
