Dutch-born Ghanaian Myron Boadu scored to end his two-game drought as AZ Alkmaar claimed a 2-1 victory against Heerenveen in the Eredivisie this past weekend.
Dani de Wit's first-half strike for Alkmaar was cancelled out by Nigerian Chidera Ejuke in the 69th minute.
However, Boadu won three points for Alkmaar with his strike in the 72nd minute.
The striker had wasted several great opportunities before converting the winning goal.
The 19-year-old has scored 13 goals and provided five assists in the league this season.
The win also ended Alkmaar's two games winless run as they closed the gap at the top to three points.
