Ghanaian witch doctor Kwaku Bonsam has gained worldwide fame for his claim that he caused Cristiano Ronaldo injury ahead of the World Cup with some of the biggest media outfits in the world reporting on him.

Regarded as Ghana’s most influential witch doctor Bonsam claimed he is responsible for the knee injury that is threatening to Ronaldo’s participation at the World Cup with the potential of facing the Black Stars in Group G.

Nana Kwaku Bonsam – whose name translates literally as “Devil of Wednesday” – predicted in February that the Real Madrid forward would be forced to miss this summer’s tournament in Brazil with injury.

With the Portuguese FA confirming that Ronaldo is suffering from tendinosis in his left knee as well as nursing a muscle problem in his left thigh with the World Cup looming, this has sparked a frenzy among some of the biggest newspapers and media outfits in the world.

One of the most respected newspapers in the world, The Guardian of England reported on the story before other top British newspapers like Daily Mail, the Metro, the Sun, the Evening Standard and the Mirror all reported extensively on the Bonsam's claim.

America, who are in the same as Ghana at the World Cup, also joined in the fray and their top newspapers New York Daily News, Washington Post, all reporting on the claim.

Even as far as newspapers in Australia carried the report and the papers in Ronaldo's home country of Portugal went on a frenzy with many attacking the claim by Bonsam as 'stupid'

Crucially Bonsam has exacted his much needed global fame for his ways and we wait to find out if his claims are true.

Ghana are drawn with Portugal, Germany and the United States of America in the Group G and will face Portugal on June 26 in Brasilia.

The match is the last league fixture, thus, it will be of critical importance.
