Ghanaian youngster Raphael Ohin joins Canadian side Valour FC

Ghanaian midfielder Raphael Ohin has completed a move to Canadian top-flight outfit Valour FC ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The 23-year-old becomes the first Ghanaian to sign for a Canadian side after completing his mandatory medical.

The Winnipeg-based club on January 11, confirmed that the talented Ghanaian footballer has joined the club on a multi-year contract.

He joins Valour FC after playing three seasons with WSA Winnipeg of the (Professional Development League scoring five goals).

“Raphael has been consistently the top performer for the WSA Winnipeg franchise for the last few seasons,” said Valour FC head coach Rob Gale. It’s a great addition for us he’s a terrific character and this will be a great challenge for him to progress into full-time professional soccer.”

Before coming to Canada, the highly-rated youngster played for academy teams in a number of different countries including Switzerland (2010-2011), Thailand (2012), Sweden (2013) and his home country of Ghana (2008-2010).
