Granada head back up to LaLiga Santander

Granada CF are back among the big boys, after beating Cadiz CF X-X on Sunday to clinch promotion back to the top flight of Spanish football alongside CA Osasuna.

The Andalusian outfit have spent 25 out of the 40 matchdays so far in the automatic promotion positions, in a clear demonstration of the team's remarkable consistency throughout the campaign, which has been the big key to their success.

During his maiden season in charge, coach Diego Martinez has managed to put together a project which has come to fruition with the club securing a LaLiga Santander return, in what is the Galician's first promotion to the top flight. Martinez has devised a plan from the dugout which his players have executed perfectly on the pitch.

Granada are currently the side with the best defence in the division, a feat which goalkeeper Rui Silva and defenders Victor Diaz, German Sanchez and Jose Antonio Martinez have played major roles in. That defensive solidity has been one of the pillars of the team's success, combined with an outstanding record on the road. Granada have picked up more points away from home than any other club in the division, while remaining consistent on home turf as well.

Antonio Puertas and Adrian Ramos's goals along with Fede Vico and Montoro's assists have also been vital in the fan base's promotion dream coming true, meaning it is certainly now time to celebrate.
